However, mince also makes up many other delicious and easy dishes and because it freezes well, mince is a great freezable meal option.
How To Make Savory Mince From Scratch
It’s super easy to make mince from scratch. If you follow my blog you’ll know that I always cook from scratch and I am a huge fan of easy recipes. The less complicated the better! So, like all my other recipes my savory mince recipe is simple, gluten-free, few-ingredient, and a fast meal to prepare.
I fry fresh minced garlic, coriander, salt, and a little olive oil together to create flavor. Then, I add the mince and let it soak up all that great taste. When it’s browned and starts to catch I add some water, tomato sauce, and a touch of mayonnaise. Then I let that simmer for a few minutes and it’s done.
The mince dish takes about 35 minutes from start to finish and it’s always a good idea to cook more than you need. That way you have a good start on some make-ahead meals and you only had to cook once. Two birds with one stone kind of thing 😉
Also, if you’re gluten intolerant/allergic or have celiac disease then it’s ALWAYS a good thing to have pre-cooked meals ready. You never know when you’ll need one and it’s best to be prepared so that you don’t get accidentally glutened.

All you need is boiled mashed butternut, your pre-cooked beef mince, and, of course, cheese for the topping because according to my husband, everything needs cheese!
