I go the simple route when making homemade garlic butter and just use crushed garlic, a little salt and some butter. You can also play around and add any herbs you might like – parsley goes really well with the mixture.
So, melt your butter in a pan on low, add the garlic and salt and leave it to fry a bit and all those gorgeous flavors combine to make the most delicious garlic butter sauce for your baby potatoes.
How To Cook The Baby Potatoes On The Stove Top
To make perfect potatoes every time, put them in cool water on the stove and then leave them to boil until a fork goes through easily.
Always wash your baby potatoes before boiling them and leave the skins on. Leave them whole, or if they’re a little bigger then cut them into halves or quarters.
Because I love easy recipes, I just boil the baby potatoes, pour the garlic butter sauce over, and serve them. But sometimes, I’m in the mood for five minutes of extra prep and for a little extra flavor. So, then I fry the garlic buttered baby potatoes until they’re golden. Mmmm, so good!

1/2 tsp Salt
1 Tbsp Crushed Garlic
3 Tbsp Butter
- Boil the potatoes until a fork goes through easily.
