– Throw In The Oven Chicken –

This chicken dish is one of my all-time favorites when I want to do an easy meal. All you do is pour the sauce over it, put it in the oven, and leave it until it’s done and ready to serve.

It’s just chicken but the special part that makes it super tasty and places it firmly into the class of comfort food is the sauce! As it cooks the juices from the meat add an incredible flavor to the sauce leaving you with a divine gravy. The only thing you might need to do is add some liquid to thin it before serving.

Because it’s so easy to make it’s a great meal to serve when you have guests. It’s not just tasty, it’s also budget-friendly and it’s been popular every time we’ve served it.

One of the highlights of this dish is that it’s gluten-free. So if you eat gluten-free or you’re cooking for a friend who does then this is a great meal to serve!

However, you must double-check all the ingredients you use to be sure they don’t contain any hidden sources of gluten. Most of the ingredients listed can actually have gluten in them so always check everything!

What To Serve With This Dish

I like pairing this dish with steamed vegetables since they tone down the richness. Plus it also adds a healthy side to the meal. FYI steaming is one of the best ways to keep the nutrients locked into your vegetables while cooking them to perfection! It’s also a really easy way to cook veg. Once you’ve cleaned your veg then all you do is throw them in and set the timer.

Another yummy option is roast veg which is a bit less healthy than the steamed option but goes really well with the chicken. It’s also relatively quick and easy to prep the veg, add some salt and herbs, and pop in the oven.

As well as being simple, this dish is pretty versatile and would also be delicious with rice, couscous, or potatoes.

Just a tip – If you don’t do well with rich food then I’d definitely suggest keeping whatever side you serve with it as simple as possible.
